Responsibilities:
The Shift Supervisor will organize and lead rigid container blow molding production operations in a modern and well equipped facility located in the St. Louis Missouri area. The Supervisor will report to the Plant Manager. Duties will include:
- Schedule and Coordinate personnel and equipment to efficiently meet customer demand while controlling costs associated with overtime, set-up, maintenance, and inventory.
- Constantly monitor multiple production lines to ensure optimal operation and attainment of strict quality specifications.
- Work with Plant, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering Managers in the implementation of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Development of Associate Training, Evaluation, and Disciplinary procedures.
- Implementation and support of GMP and ISO Certified Quality Assurance systems.
- Provide technical support including assisting in troubleshooting and solving processing or manufacturing problems.
Requirements include:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Technology, Business) in order to be considered for this position.
- Must have at least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in supervision of plastic production operations.
- Technical and troubleshooting skills in Extrusion Blow Molding (Uniloy, Bekum, Fisher or similar machines) is highly desired.
- Proven skills in Leadership and Organization.
- Training and experience in implementation of lean manufacturing systems such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, etc.
- Strong cGMP/ISO 9000 quality systems experience.
- Ability to relocate for advancement opportunities in other company locations.
