Injection Molding Technician

Salary Minimum: $27,000 to $42,000 plus paid Overtime

Our client is a plastic injection molder located in Arkansas.  The company is expanding to keep up with increased demand and we have an immediate need for Three experienced Injection Molding Process Technicians.  In you are looking for a company with a future, you should contact us right away.

Responsibilities:

The Injection Molding Process Technicians will assist in supervising machine operators and will provide technical support for the shift.  Primary function will be to troubleshoot molding process, tooling, machine and materials problems. Duties will include:

  • Working with Process Engineers, Project Engineers, and others in the start-up and testing of new and repaired tools.
  • Perform most mold changes on the shift and be responsible for correctly installing molds, programming machine, obtaining first part approval, and optimizing cycle times.
  • Responsible for day to day troubleshooting of processing, materials, tooling and machine problems.
  • Ensuring that the work area is well maintained, clean and orderly in accordance with company safety, hygiene, and lean manufacturing systems.

 

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in the plastics industry with specific skills in the set-up and optimization of injection molding machines.
  • Ability to recognize molding process, tooling, materials and other problems, troubleshoot, and correctly identify and correct these problems.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High School Diploma is required. Technical School or other advanced training is highly valued.
